I've lost something, who do I contact?

It all depends on where you lost your item. Visit our Lost Property page for more information.

As a rule, all non-perishable items are kept at the lost property office at the station where the item was found, or at the arrival station for items left on the train.

All perishable goods are disposed of at the end of each working day.

When contacting a lost property office, make sure you have the following details to hand:

  • date when the item was lost

  • train number (coach & seat number if possible)

  • description of the item

  • your contact details and address

You may need to pay collection and/or storage charges.
