Why am I being told there are no trains available?

There are a few reasons you might be told that no trains are available.

Our trains are fully booked
Weekends and bank holidays in particular are always very busy so try looking at another date if you can. 

You’re too early to book
Most Eurostar tickets can be booked up to 180 days before your return travel date, however there are a few exceptions:

  • Tickets on the direct* Eurostar train to Lyon, Avignon and Marseille go on sale 280 days in advance
  • Direct trains to the French Alps go on sale each July
  • Direct trains to Disneyland® Paris may be booked further in advance.
  • Journeys with a connection to the French train network (e.g. TGV) can be booked up to 90 days in advance
  • Trips from your home station in the UK can be booked 84 days before your return date, though this varies by train company.
If you try to book and the dates you choose are greyed out, just come back nearer the time to buy your tickets.

You want to travel on Christmas day 
Sorry, Eurostar trains don’t run on 25 December.

*On the way to the UK, simply board your train in Lyon Part Dieu, Marseille Saint-Charles or Avignon TGV. You won’t need to check in or arrive 30 minutes before departure because we’ll be doing check-in, security and immigration checks later in the journey at our hub station in Lille. This is because the stations in Marseille, Avignon don’t have the facilities to do all the necessary checks. When you arrive in Lille, our on board and station teams will guide you every step of the way.
